Lots of Flowers Card

Thanks so much to Lorraine B. - without the video at her blog http://www.cardcreationsbylorraine.blogspot.com/, I never could have guessed at the cut sizes for all the flowers! This card is entirely from the Walk in My Garden Cricut cartridge. My card is slightly different than Lorraine's since I added the flower pots at the bottom and didn't use a bow.

Thanks again Lorraine!

"Create" Sign

This is the hostess gift I made for all the nice ladies in my SU 10-Club in May. I always try to make something nobody's given as a hostess gift yet and this is what I came up with this year!

Busy, Busy, Busy!

It's been a while since I've posted anything creative because I've been busy with life! Between preparing & filing our taxes, taking on the monthly challenge of creating the local Moose Lodge newsletter, and, the best news of all - I'm teaching a basics Cricut class on the 24th in our little town! I'm pretty excited! So, I really have been busy! My SU demo asked me to organize a Cricut class and the next thing I knew, I had 12 students and the local school district's adult ed program is paying me to teach! (Who would have thought so many Cricut owners lived here!) I'm hoping I can teach a rather more advanced class this fall. Another nice friend asked me to teach a scrapbooking class - and my first thought was how do you teach scrapbooking? So, for now, I'm just thinking on these two classes. Besides, I'm just a beginner scrapbooker! I'm happy the newsletter is coming together, step by step (this is my first month), the taxes are done and filed on time, and the Cricut class prep is almost done. The above project is about the only thing I've created lately! So, the next thing I need to complete are my Mother's Day cards!

Sad Day

Yesterday was a sad day in our home - we made the tough decision to put our little Varmint kitty to sleep. She was almost 17 and very ill. Abby girl is already missing her playmate and keeps trying to find her. Varmint will be missed by all of us. A lot of things are different already without tiny Varmint kitty around us.

Happy Easter Card

I fell in love with the card made by "bigsky" at SCS. I thank her for the inspiration, design, & color combo for this card. I used a different flower set and didn't have the same background DP, so I revamped it for what I did have.

Someone Like You Birthday

The "Pocket Fun" stamp set used for the flowers, leaves, & pocket is an older SU set. This card is for a very special, hard working young lady that really isn't my niece, but I read somewhere that family isn't always flesh and blood, but a feeling of the heart - Happy Birthday niece!

Happy Spring Card

This is a new stamp set ("Springtime") I purchased from CTMH last month and couldn't wait to design a card using the umbrella and cute little chicks. The stamp set also includes a "Happy Easter" sentiment.

Best Wishes

This is a design named "Triple Tag Fun" from the CTMH Originals Book, although I added a sentiment to my card. I used my Cricut to make the flowers, then used my embossing tool to texture the petals. I also used my Cricut for the ovals for the "best wishes" sentiment. I enjoy using my Cricut for ovals and circles because I get bored with using square pieces of cardstock for sentiments on cards.

Heartfelt Valentine Card

Here's a simple card I copied from Joan Ness (SCS). I'm enjoying the new Scallop Trim border punch from Stampin' Up! I'm not sure what she used to punch the hearts on the original card, but I used my Cricut and the Doodlecharms cartridge. This cartridge is becoming one of my favorites with all its great designs for almost every holiday.
